People

When I seek to portray those individuals who I encounter in a setting, sometimes it’s tricky to strike an appropriate balance between respecting the privacy of individuals and a desire to inject life into my photography. But when I do manage to strike that balance, I arrive at a far more satisfying artistic result. In much the same way that Robert Doisneau pursued his early work, I’m especially drawn to including the surroundings in which I find people and making them part of my composition.
