Vintage TVs in a Storefront Window

A few days before I took my TV selfie, I had a roll of Ilford FP4 Plus loaded into my Nikon F as I strolled around town. When I took that later picture, I remembered that I had shot a photo of the old TV sets that sat in that vintage shop storefront.
As opposed to the overcast day I shot that reflection selfie on, the sky was clear, and late afternoon sunlight bathed that storefront window in bright light. I was walking around town practicing shooting without a light meter. When I saw this scene, I immediately thought this was a clear f/16 scene, so I set my exposure accordingly.
I’ve mentioned this before, and I’ll mention it again: I am growing to love working with Ilford FP4 Plus. It’s a super-forgiving film stock, and its range of grey tones coupled with its grain pattern really satisfies me. It’s like clay that I can mold to do what I want.
